The Heritage Collection

The Heritage Collection is the foundation of Ken Richardson Knives — a series of full-size blades crafted with intention, just like Ken did in the early days near the Dillard Mill. These knives feature bold, working profiles like bowie, drop point, and skinner styles, each shaped from 1085 blue tempered spring steel for lasting edge retention and field-readiness.
Handles are made from naturally shed deer or elk antler and often include bone end caps, carved details, or scrimshaw engravings. Every brass guard is hand-fitted, and every knife is one-of-a-kind.
Whether you're heading into the woods or passing it down to the next generation, Heritage knives are made to be carried, used, and remembered. This is the collection that built our name — and still defines it today.
The Trailmate Series
Mid-size knives built for versatility and everyday use.
The Trailmate Series is designed for those who move. Smaller than our Heritage blades but larger than our miniatures, these mid-size knives are ideal for those who need a dependable tool that doesn't weigh them down.
Whether you're field dressing game, carving kindling, or packing light for a backwoods hike, Trailmate knives bring balance, agility, and rugged craftsmanship to every task. With blades around 2.25", they’re easy to carry but made to work.
These knives feature the same high-carbon steel, natural antler handles, and brass accents as our larger blades—sometimes finished with colorful stone inserts for a touch of individuality. They're tough, good-looking, and always ready to go.
Companion Series
Lightweight, compact blades designed for neck or keychain carry.
The Companion Series is our smallest set of knives, built for portability without sacrificing personality. These compact blades are crafted with the same care as our full-size knives and designed to be worn around the neck, clipped to your keychain, or tucked into a pack.
Each one features a 1" blade made from 1085 spring steel, paired with an antler handle and accented by colorful inserts or polished end caps. Despite their size, these blades carry weight in meaning—whether they’re used for light tasks or collected as keepsakes.
